Points Race # 6 Race Recap

In the Box Stock Class a familiar face once again found himself picking up a dominating victory. The #08H of Samuel Harper charged to his third win of the season, winning by nearly 3 seconds over the second place kart. That second place kart was the #91 of Charlie Seavey who has had a wonderful start to the season and currently finds himself leading the charge in the Box Stock Points Standings. The third and final spot on the podium went to Fallon, Nevada driver Corbin Seay in his #7C machine. Corbin led much of the first half of the race but could not hold off the hard charging Harper in the second half.

The 250 Intermediate Class saw another driver score his third win of the season. The #44 of Dean Pinten picked up the win in convincing fashion as he took the lead for good on Lap 13 and drove away for his third triumph of the season. It is actually his fourth win overall this season as he also has one win in the Open Intermediate Class as well. Pinten was followed across the stripe by the #46 of Preston Carr who continues to pick up right where he left off after stepping away from racing for a bit. Preston also scored the Sizzling Hot Lap Award of 1 Lb. of Bacon courtesy of Cosmic Roots Ranch this week by turning the fastest lap of anyone in any class in Time Trials on Saturday night. The third and final spot on the podium went to the #3T of Tater Reich who has had a really hit or miss season so far. I say look for the #3T machine to win at least a couple of races before the end of the season.

The Open Intermediate Class saw Isaiah Vasquez finally break through for his first career win at the Cycleland Speedway in his Rod Tiner Racing #83 kart. He and Blake Burgess had a great battle for the win but Vasquez would lead the final five laps to get the victory. Blake Burgess, after leading the first 15 laps of the race would have to settle for a bittersweet second place finish in his Grandpa George Motors #23X entry. Kyler Garner backed up her impressive win with another great run finishing third in her #13G kart. She had an up and down night but it ended up with another great result.
