Lowell Moural, Sr., 72, of Chico, California passed away on August 9, 2023. He left this world doing what he loved, riding his mountain bike.  Lowell was born on September 21, 1950 to George and Betty Moural.  After graduating from Chico Senior High School, he went on to work in the auto body and paint industry and later owned his own shop, all the while working every spare minute to cultivate a life full of family and fun. 

 

Well known for his love of everything motorsports, Lowell got his start racing at Cycleand Speedway as a teenager. His signature style and love of the sport earned him admiration and respect from those he competed with. In the early 80's Lowell purchased his beloved track and together with his family was able to grow it into the training ground and hub for budding racers that it is today. 

 

Lowell's most prevalent attribute was his generosity of time, knowledge and help to any and all who needed it. His talents were endless and he shared these with unmatched enthusiasm every single day. It was difficult to find him without a smile or his hysterical laugh.

Lowell is survived by wife Becky Moural, children Heather Moural, Lowell Moural, Jr. (Kelly), Molly Fraiser (Bruce), Sally Macmillan (Bruce), Carrie Simmons, (Mike), and his ten beloved grandchildren.  Also survived by sisters Jeanice Eshbaugh (Robert), and Vicki Oiler (Clayton).
